Perhaps you've have seen or heard from your friends like "The Red Planet is about to be spectacular." Or "Earth is catching up with Mars [for] the closest approach between the two planets in recorded history." "On August 27th … Mars will look as large as the full moon." "NO ONE ALIVE TODAY WILL EVER SEE THIS AGAIN."
This is called the "Mars Hoax" and, as the name suggests, it is false. So please do not believe such rumors and kill your enthusiasm.
SPOT PLANET MARS
On 27th August, 2006 after 7.00 p.m., if one looks towards west direction in the sky near to horizon you will find one ‘Star Like’ object, which is not a star but Planet Mars.
You may use the sky Map below for spotting planet mars.
Though difficult to spot planet mars can be seen in the western sky upto 20th September,2006 after sunset.
