The Total Lunar eclipse is visible in North eastern parts of our country. The eclipse is visible from Americas except the eastern part of South America and north-eastern parts of North America, the Pacific Ocean, eastern parts of Asia, Australasia and Antarctica. The beginning of the umbral phase will be visible in South Atlantic Ocean, North-Eastern part of Brazil, Northern part of Atlantic Ocean, New Found Land, and Extreme North-East of China.

In India northern part of our country would witness the “end of umbral phase” i.e people would see only the last phase of eclipse. Places like Aizwal, portblair, guwahati, agartala, dibrugarh imphal, itanagar, kohima, shilong, sibsagar, howgang, silchar, temonlong, tezpur, ukhrul will witness the eclipse at 5.40 p.m towards eastern horizon. According to IST eclipse with penumbral phase begins 1.22 p.m. and ends at 6.52 p.m. The total phase would last for 90 minutes duration.
